Concrete Laser Screeding

feature sxpAllen Concrete uses laser screeds to produce slab-on-grade concrete floors with higher FF/FL floors than any other traditional finishing methods.  They establish grade by laser, utilizing a 3D Profiler System, disperse concrete by auger, and then vibrate and consolidate the concrete. The console-mounted computer maintains grade with laser precision and monitors the screed elevation at a rate of 10 times per second.  Allen Concrete currently utilizes two different size screeds, an SXP which features a self-leveling, 12-foot wide screeding head that is mounted on a powerful 20-foot telescopic boom.  The new S-840 uses a self-leveling 8-foot wide screeding head for applications that requires a smaller and more maneuverable machine.

Laser Screeds are setting new standards for concrete floors. In addition to being laser precise and mechanically powerful, they are fast. It can accurately screed 240 square feet of concrete in just 60 seconds.  Wide placement construction using a laser screed allows very large areas to be cast as a single continuous pour, thereby eliminating the need for construction joints.  This allows Allen Concrete to pump concrete slabs using our concrete boom trucks followed by our Somero SXP laser screed resulting in a faster job with a super-flat floor.
Whether in the UK, Europe or the United States, there is rarely a large industrial concrete floor being poured these days without the use of laser screed technology.
